4-MAN SUPPORTERS COMMITTEE NAMED FOR TUFC

A 4-man supporters committee has been put in place by Tamale Utrecht Football Club (TUFC) at a meeting held on Saturday at the club’s secretariat to organise a cogent support base and direct its programmes and policies for the club.
Mr. Hafiz Adam Progress (Abbey) would be in charge of the group as the supporters chairman and also carry out his schedule as the Deputy Social projects Director of the Tamale Utrecht Football Academy (TUFA).
Mr. Mohammed Mashud Whereabouts was appointed as the organiser of the support group whilst Mr Alhassan Abubakari Sadick picked the role of a treasurer and Mr Sulemana Amin got the position of a secretary.
The appointments of the above persons were influenced by their passion and strong commitment shown in the programmes and activities of TUFC. The experience and ability to perform on their respective roles were also considered without doubt.
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Abdulai Alhassan implored on the group to organise very committed and discipline supporters for the club since that was the only way structures within the club could run without interference in the discharge of the technical and managerial duties.
‘Everybody has a task to perform in the club and therefore takes responsibility for his decisions made to effect any change in the club’ The CEO stressed. ‘Supporters therefore need to concentrate on their part of the club success and allow other bodies to also handle their task for a collective gain’ He said.
Technical Director Arc. Jawhari Baba-Duah who was also at the meeting hinted that a forum would be designed in the club’s programme to allow supporters to interact with the players, and the technical team to share ideas for the development of a formidable family.
In his acceptance remark on behalf of the group, Mr Hafiz Abbey expressed delight for the opportunity giving and admonished his colleagues to exhibit professionalism in the discharge of their responsibilities.
