ADAM A. BASIT TO MISS TUFC FA CUP CLASH

Diminutive striker Adam A. Basit will miss Tamale Utrecht FA Cup clash in Accra on Friday against Danbort FC due to injury as the club jets out to Accra tomorrow morning.
The striker popularly known as Henry twisted his ankle during training on Monday and has been ruled out of playing in the FA CUP match. He would however be avalailabe for the division one league opening match against Yeji Juventus.
In a related development former Sawla United hit man Tahiru Moomin Benzema will also be missing the tie due to a minor waist pain.
Head coach Mu-azz Choo was however optimistic of victory despite losing 2 key strikers in his squad. He told tufaghanafc.com ‘there are worthy replacements for the injured players. The club is built around every player and for that matter, the absence of any player would not shake the team’s foundation, other players will play and fight in equal measure’.
TUFC player of the year Jafaru A. Somed and the club leading scorer in last year’s division two competition are expected to lead their colleague’s in attack to secure progression to the next stage of the competition.
