TUFA PLAYS WA ALLSTARS IN A FRIENDLY
23 September, 2012
Tamale Utrecht Football Academy Division One side appears for the second friendly match of their pre-season preparations as they play premier league campaigners Wa All-stars at the Kasalgu Complex on Monday morning.
The friendly is the first test for the two sides in all competitions and it is expected to offer the two teams the opportunity to assess their players ahead of major competitions. The Blues are returning from a 3 –week pre-season tour in Kumasi and are playing their last friendly match against the Kasalans that lost 3-2 to the national U-20 side in their first friendly last week. The team leaves for Wa immediately after the encounter to fine tune preparations for the premier league match that kicks off on October 7, 2012.
The TUFA side is adding tomorrow’s friendly to the list of friendly matches that the team is counting for its preparations ahead of the division one league and the MTN FA Cup competitions.
‘Having followed the exploits of the academy, I expect stiffer opposition from Tamale Utrecht in the friendly and this is important for my team as we return to Wa for our premiership first game to Lions at home’ said Wa Allstars Head Coach Nuru.
