TUFC BOUNCE BACK IN DIVISION TWO LEAGUE

Two goals in each half for TUFC ensured that they stay in contention for qualification to the next round of the division two league when they beat Sky FC 4-1 today at Jisonayili.

Jafaru Abdul Somed got TUFC to a good start when he expertly converted a spot kick after he was brought down by a Sky FC defender in the first minute of the game.Zakaria Blaise Timotooni headed home the second goal from corner kick ten minutes later. However the homesters pulled a goal back before the referee whistle for recess.

Fans in the community were treated to good exchanges from the two sides in the second half but with TUFC dominating game in midfield than their opponents. It was not however surprising that TUFC increased their goal tally to three from Adam A. Basit strike on the half hour mark. Victory was concealed by the visitors when left back Adam Ibrahim playing in an unusual role in midfield scored from a free kick.

In other results in zone I, Tamale Allstars beat Sankpala United at home 7-1 whilst Galaxy FC recorded a lone goal against visiting Gangdu Stars. Liberty Babies rested for this week pairings.

Three clubs shall qualify from this zone for the next round of matches to determine the champions for the Northern Region division two competition. A total of 8 zones are involved in this competition.
